This wine has a friendly salmon pink colour. The aromas are typical of the Cabernet variety, youngberry and raspberry are dominant. On the palate the wine reveals an initial nutty dry tannin flavour and has a long pleasant aftertaste. The sugar level of 5.4g/l is not clearly detectable but adds to the complexity of the wine.
To be enjoyed with barbecued snoek or grilled Kingklip also compatible with poultry and roast pork dishes. Best suited with lighter styles of meat.

The wine is a blend of red grapes predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon 80% and 20% Cabernet Franc. Situated on the lower slopes of the farm, the vineyard is not irrigated at all, the natural precipitation is enough to ripen the grapes and produce superior quality wine.
The grapes are picked at full ripeness, crushed and fermented like a white wine, no skin contact is applied. The salmon pink colour is derived from the red pigments that are released during the crushing process. The wine was bottled early to retain the fresh red fruit aromas.
